      Whilist the principles of developing a business are the same regardless of size, larger businesses generally can afford to have their own staff with expertise in the various management disciplines required in most businesses.

      Small and medium sized businesses often can only afford the necessary expertise required on a part time or ad hoc basis.

      The specific business development service that can be provided covers all areas of a business however the services offered to individual clients are dependent upon a number of factors.

      These factors include:

      • the owner/managers' specific requirements

      • the stage of development and size of the business

      • the level of experience and expertise of the business manager

      • the profitability of the business

      • the availability of human and capital resources to carry out recommended actions

 

      The aim is to coach and mentor clients by providing stimulation in their thinking for alternative solutions to adopt to develop their business or solve specific problems.  However, should the manpower or expertise not be available, arrangements can be made to engage skilled consultants to complete the recommendations.
